Skateboarding & Zumiez

Does anypony know if like. if zumiez has quality skateboards or not and also where is a safe place to start skating if u dont have a skatepark near you because i rlly rlly rlly rlly wanna start skating but the closest skate park is like 10 miles away so i cant walk there and my mom wont drive me there but also also ummmm the only skate shop we have is a zumiez..and i dont rlly like buying online...all that much helpp
