My Theatre Experience

Hey guysss!

As many of you might know, I've recently been rather busy doing theatre. We are doing a production of Jekyll & Hyde, I'd say not huuuge and we're pretty much all amateurs, no one really does this thing professionally. However, even though it's not exactly Broadway, the response has been INSANE!! Local newspapers are loving us, I've personally gotten only positive feedback and we ourselves are just really pleased with the musical. 

I never thought I would be standing on stage one day, dancing, singing and acting my heart out, especially as I am a rather shy person, but here we are! I've met sooo many cool and nice people through this opportunity and will surely partake in next year's musical as well. Like no question, this shit is BEYOND fun!!!

The rehearsals were always pretty chaotic and it never seemed like we really "had a show" but it all started really coming together during tech week. With the lighting and everything in place, it really took on life. It has truly been an honor to be able to work for months with all of these lovelies and I'm honestly gonna be really sad once this ends. This week, we have our final 4 shows and man, I am guaranteed to be a crying mess at the end of Sunday. I can't imagine not seeing the cast most days of the week but that's just how it is. 

Now, I'm not gonna get all profound on here but this production has truly given me a purpose these past 5 months. Something to work towards, really. Even though I had my doubts and thought about quitting various times, it showed me the value of pulling through. I'm gonna miss these idiots and I will definitely report how the last weekend goes!
