Hi-Fidelity gets the better of me  

part one 

there are three times a boy will look at you with awe if you're lucky 

the first time is when he firsts sees you. really sees you. really looks at you in all your glory cause your hair looks good and your makeup is clean and you look the way they like, whether you mean to or not. but anyway, he really looks at you and notices the length of your eyelashes and the shape of your cupid's bow and the way the baby hairs whisp and curl round your face. 

the second time is when he sees you without your clothes on. in the bra set you bought specifically for this, rather than the comfortable stuff you'd usually wear. and maybe then he looks at you as a woman rather than a girl. and maybe you like that or maybe you don't. and maybe you feel good or maybe you don't. and maybe you feel vulnerable or maybe you feel confident 

and the third time, if fortune is in your favour,  is when you walk down the aisle and he pulls back that great lace veil and he sees you for the final time before "'til death do us part" 

go find someone who will love you back. go out and dance all night

part two 

people fall in love all the time. and i'm being cynical cause i do not trust people on an individual level. i know that people fall in love all the time cause i see it. you fall in love when you see them smile, or as their waking up, or cause they remember that you used to love that band when you were a kid, or just because you look at them and they know that you are it. you are the thing they've been looking for and they have never been more in love 

there is nothing else 

i think that to love will be an awfully big adventure
