Why is nvim so hard to set up right?

So I've done both Lazy and, Lunar distros of neovim and let me tell you.... The diff on them isn't that big. Like I'm using lazy right now but it took just as long to set up all the parsers and syntax stuff as it did under lunar.

My current setup is a bit out of date but I'm running Ubuntu 23.04 on a Dell Inspiron n4110 with duskWM and Sakura term as my primaries and Zellij as my multiplexer. I was always a desktop hopper usual suspects where kde and lxde/qt and this whole change over to Wayland had me pulling out my hair trying to learn how to do stuff. Finally I gave up and came back to X11 and now Dusk. I had used Dwm and Awesome before but honestly i wanted something a bit off the beaten path so i wound up running Dusk and enjying it enough. i know i am supposed to recompile when i do any mod to  it but if i do it from outside the .config file i can just use something like nitrogyn to save it... ok its now 11:30 i needa get some sleep... TLDR I'm learning more and more each day and am excited for the prospect.
