As someone who is essentially a refugee from Twitter coming into Spacehey, I gotta say the differences between the 2 communities are night and day. There is definite social consequences using Twitter everyday and you can see the legitimate effects it can have on people, and it's scary.
Even I can admit to this, especially within the last year or so. Certain... incidents that happened made me way more jaded then how i used to be, on top of knowing how to quickly identify narcissists and the people they use for their own means; It doesn't sit right in ya knowing you can't call them out on their crap because:
- You do not have the willpower to do it on such a public area
- You do not have the proper amount of 'followers' who are just itching for that next piece of daily drama.

I don't think you're alone in that respect. All social media leave their mark on people. Of that there is no doubt. It has been used as a weapon and has radicalized people. I think that's the worst part of it. I can't deny that so many great things can be accomplished through social media. You have to take the good with the bad and hope that the bad doesn't taint you. I try to view it as entertainment so to speak. I try not to take things too seriously. It's easy enough to avoid the toxicity that comes hand in hand with social media. Small doses of it is fine. Just know when it's time to log out. I am loving Spacehey. I haven't had the opportunity to spend much time on here. I like that fact that I don't have to check in on my page all day long. Since I've just started I also haven't made many friends to occupy my time on here. The blogs is my favorite part anyway, so I don't really need friends for that. lol

and yeah I know you're supposed to keep it as positive as possible when leaving but I just couldn't help but *HAVE* to vent out my worries about it. Been dealing with it for too long so to speak.
The past is the past now anyway, and I agree with you on the blogging; Haven't had this kinda itch to write in years!

After I wrote my novel, which I didn't even try to publish because I have zero faith in my creative abilities, I just stopped writing. Real life just took over and I never had the time to write. When I did, I didn't have anything to write about. I have stories that I've started, but never finished. Blogging will help me get into the swing of things... I HOPE!
