https://friendster.com/ It seems to be in early access beta. Signing up put's you in a waitlist (I'm currently #328301, RIP ;-;) and sending referrals puts you higher so you don't have to wait as long. I'll update when I'm off the waitlist or when Friendster becomes open to the public, both I wish would happen soon. I'm curious of how it's gonna look. I hope they don't become a facebook clone and make their site bland and boring to appease to investors, but that's pretty much what I expect. Maybe they'll become like noplace, or maybe they'll blow us away. Who knows. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'm not old enough to know what the original was like unfortunately. When the OG friendster was at it's peak (2008 according to google trends), I was only two years old. If any millennials or older gen z people want to infodump in the comments, feel very free to do so.

This is the news I've been needing for a while. Hopefully other websites like Xanga get a revival (or at least a remake) in the future as well.

seems interesting, but my personal expections are that it either breaks the rules about data privacy or advertisers or it'll die in a pit of debt and bankruptcy. im gonna choose to be hopeful that it works out tho, i put in my email to try it out whenever it's available again lol
