Well, it’s been a little over a week now, but what matters is that I wrote it! That’s better than nothing!! I’ll cut to the chase ヽ(・∀・)ﾉ
To say I have been obsessed with this song is an understatement. Usually when I’m in school, my MP3 player repeats (after playing all of the songs in it), and ever since I found this song it has not repeated at all because I keep coming back to Denying. The harmonies in the chorus and the back-and-forth between Posh-Ginger-Scary and Ginger-Baby-Sporty and the baseline and!!! Everything in this song is so good, was quite shocked when I found out this was the 2nd least streamed song on Spiceworld (on Spotify, at least)

So you know how last week I said the ‘01 version was better? That was a fucking lie. The chorus on this version IS SO MUCH BETTER! And it makes Lee Harvey’s verse sound so much better. I still think the intro on the ‘01 version is slightly better (cowbell bias, sorry) but I think my opinions on this song have changed A lot since last week LOL.I’ve had this song on Fang for a hot minute, and I think it’s one of the only songs I refuse to skip. It just puts you in such a good mood! I think I walk a little funny whenever this song comes on LOL… just makes you want to dance…
Like a fucking worm in my brain. I wouldn’t say it’s a guilty pleasure, because it’s very much a good song, but it feels like it would be one.
Worst confession of my life is that I didn’t get this song the first time I listened to it. Like, I understood that it was a good song, but it just hadn’t clicked, y’know? But thank GOD it clicked, this song is so good and I love Victoria’s voice in R&B tracks.
