Altered Post: The hell happened in Destiny 2's Echoes ending?

So i'm still trying to decide how I'm gonna review Destiny 2 because I finished The Final Shape like a long time ago at this point, but I gotta write like a small rant post about this because I also finished Echoes a few days ago, so anyways, spoilers for Echoes because I kinda wanna rant about the ending, because WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! Ok so before I get into the ending and all that, I have to give some context via my experience: picture this, I've had to do the exotic mission 3 separate times in 3 separate variations of that specific mission and I was (keyword: was) having a good time with that mission, then when it came to the finale, and with how Maya Sundaresh is dealt with and they say she's "escaped" after witnessing, Ikora summon a nova bomb and right into Maya and Saint shoot his shotgun CLOSE to her, and then she sinks into the radiolaria (white milk of nessus), and SHE ESCAPED?! Bullshit, she's dead at that point, HAS to be, and she wasn't even a goddamn god or something, She just had the ability to control the Vex, Exos and apparently Humans aswell, that's it, no godlike powers or anything, just that, honestly, I didn't have abit of a problem with her backstory and everything, it's only the ending of this episode that I'm peeved about, anyways, guess until the next episode comes out, i'm hopping on Warframe, oh and btw, you can get Caliban for free from october 2 to 16, and Caliban's pretty fun imo, give him a try when you can, anyways, small rant over, guess I have to think about this review for Destiny 2 for now.
