I don't know if I should do a vampire concept for my theater act or if I should do mean girls which is literally basic almost every school did it.
But i wanna do something fun and not basic cause romeo and Juliet is basic everybody does it, musicals are awful cause nobody wants to sit around and watch people sing... if I wanted to see that i'll just watch a music video or go see Disney on ice.
No hate to Disney fans it's just very basic to me.. and the Addams family that's very basic for me also.
I'm thinking too hard but if you have any ideas let me know.. <3

i'm not sure what the parameters for your theatre act are, do you have to do like a version of romeo & juliet that's changed up or is it kind of a 'do whatever you want' type thing?

My most effective way of finding an idea is by looking through common tropes and picking apart pieces of them until I create something subversive. Subverting the audience's expectations is an easy way of hooking them into the play. I suggest you find something people have done that you feel as if could be more interesting with many key changes.
For me, Romeo and Juliet could be subverted in a fun way by shining light on the fact that they both are horribly insane.
