My thoughts on shipping Yomi and Kagari

NO!!

I don't interact with the fandom (what fandom) much, but I know there are FREAKS out there who ship this. Also this is mostly a just a rant and I am not the most eloquent writer lol

It is terribly terribly toxic. If you really want that does of yuri Mato/Yomi is RIGHT THERE!! AND MUCH BETTER! Just because there was that weird freaky scene where Kagari carved that heart into Yomi's chest does not mean you should ship them! If anything, that is literally proof you should not.

We can see that (initially, at least) Kagari heavily relied and Yomi for everyday tasks. She prevented Yomi from having other friends, going to the point of actively trying to prevent Mato and Yomi from becoming better friends. Because Yomi had no friends, she enjoyed the feeling of being sought out, and continued to look after Kagari (also because her parents told her she had to or smth). This is an abnormal relationship that should not be pursued.

Kagari actively harmed Yomi in an attempt to keep her alone.

Even after they figured everything out, that still should not be proof enough to ship them. I think they are clearly meant to have a more sibling dynamic, especially considering they share parents. "Ouugh well acktually they are childhood friends and not siblings" I DO NOT CARE 🔥 they share parents! That is kind entirely what makes you siblings with someone.

Overall just a weird and toxic ship. It's hard for me to put thoughts into words so some wording and stuff may be odd, also I need to rewatch the animation to jog my memory a bit. Anyways Mato/Yomi on top (also because it was pretty implied..)
