The abuse of dark humor

This one will be such a huge rant and I might risk nobody seeing it too but... whatever!!!

Okay, so I noticed the trend of calling offensive behavior "dark humor" and everyone who disagrees with it is a snowflake which is so insensitive and just overall dumb. People just assume making fun of minorities etc. is acceptable just by calling it dark humor. It seriously pains me that dark humor, humor that requires some brain juice and sensitivity is degraded to joking about people dying.

I think acting like dark humor is about "offensive" humor insults the term. You don't think too much talking about a trans person dying, you don't think about the punchline. If the punchline consists of "offensive" sentences, it's a bad joke and there's no shame in calling it out. Dark humor requires a punchline. An actual punchline that isn't just making fun of death.

How many policemen does it take to change the lightbulb? Trick question. They will start shooting at the room.

See this one? If you have any idea about the real world you know the joke is about policemen shooting black people. But is it offensive? Not really. I didn't comment on it being good. In fact, I called the police dumb by saying they'd shoot at a room just for being dark. That's dark humor. Joking about grim situations but also acknowledging that they're bad.

Now if I made a joke about gay people being stupid or worse, p3 d 0s, that would be offensive. I would be calling an innocent group of people something horrible. The punchline wouldn't be about people calling gay people stupid, it would be about the gays.

Personally, I think people use dark humor because they refuse to grow up and adjust to the current world. Older people are used to it not being a big deal and edgy teenage boys just want to be cool and don't want to acknowledge that they're kinda being... dicks.

I think I mentioned it before and it's apparent I like dark humor (would be difficult not to with a pfp of a character killing himself 3 times or more). This is a defense to it because I'M TIREDDDDD!!!! GOD DAMNIT JOSH YOU CALLING A TRANS PERSON A SLUR ISN'T DARK HUMOR!!! YOU'RE A DICK!!!! THERE'S NO PUNCHLINE!!!! GOD!! DAMNIT!!!!!
