on the 2nd of October 2023 the first patches I owned arrived in the post and I taught myself sewing within the day to get the four of them on, this blog is something I'll be updating every so often to document my patches and changes in style over the years
I haven't documented everything here because I don't remember it all and I've lost some of the photos too
I'm not gonna do the retro photo filter here because I'll be here all week if I did that
These were the first 4 patches I got, I still have most of them except for the "we are so fucked" one which I wasn't allowed to wear into school so I replaced it with an alestorm one that I like more anyway
before you ask that is my foot
the day after I got a pair of sabaton patches which I no longer wear
the next few patches I got were a pair of alestorm patches, I've had to re-sew them a few times (the duck one because it's on a pocket and I've accidentally stuck my hand inside the thread instead of the pocket and the name one because it's just to big for
- - - - style sewing
I got a feuerschwanz patch along with a rumahoy and fan-made alestorm patch next, this was my first time Ironing and I've decided I'm never doing that again (they peeled off within the week)
right after Christmas I got my back patch, the opening bassline from for whom the bell tolls was the first thing that made me want to learn an instrument so Cliff Burton was a big inspiration to me being a bassist now
for about 2 months I didn't get many new patches so I didn't have much but I did stop listening to sabaton so I replaced it with a spare fear of the dark patch I had
at some stage I took these "how it started vs how it's going" pics for my boyfriend and these show the patches I added that I didn't take any photos of

Right after seeing green day live I went through a phase of sitting in my room for a week doing nothing but sewing and watching the owl house so this is the progress I've made between June and now, here's to another good year
