the internet + mental health

social media feels so unnecessarily stressful these days. i feel like every time i open tiktok i need to brace myself for horrible people filling up my screen, and as a result, my time as well. i recently came to the realization how much ive been surrounding myself with all this hate and negativity and decided to take a step back, and reconnect with the world around me. i havent gone of social media completely, but i do want to restrict myself from spending so much time on there. it's beginning to have noticeable effects on my mental well being, and i genuinely don't think it's worth stressing over bad people who are only there to shove their hateful views in everyones face, whether you agree or not.

its something i strongly suggest other people try! go try a new baking recipe, visit your local library, learn how to draw, etc.
