This morning as I walked through the doors of school, I was abruptly stopped by an administrator over my outfit. In my 3 years of attending high school, I have never once been dress coded and I had even self proclaimed myself as "invincible against the dress code policy". In all honesty, I've worn worse outfits to school without a single administrator batting an eye, so I was perplexed when my seemingly innocent (modest might I dare?) outfit was taken as a violation. My outfit consisted of dark blue bootcut jeans, black high top converse, black zip up hoodie (which was zipped up all the way!!!), and the culprit: a red tube top. I tried to argue against it, but alas I was sent to the Dean's office. I was given a scratchy, yet chic fitting, gray shirt with my school's logo and the words "Dean's office" scribbled on it in bold sharpie. I was forced to parade around in said shirt for the entire school day, the equivalent of me wearing a dunce cap, before I returned the shirt to the school nurse and drove home.
