Punk FASHION 101: Patches!

You love it, I love it, we all love punk fashion, but how on earth is it done?

A classic, put them on vests, jackets, pants, what-ever! Heres the recipie for the perfect patch, plus some ideas!

INGREDIENTS

• A heavy fabric, I use denim
• paint, preferably fabric paint, acrylic works but may need to be touched up
• needle and thread (this is a weird one, but dental floss works very well as thread, its real cheap and real sturdy, but make sure you buy unflavored so its not sticky!) 
• something to sew your patches onto (jacket, vest, pants, backpack)

INSTRUCTIONS

• cut out a piece of your fabric
• paint your design onto the patch
• wait for your patch to dry and start stitching it on
• i use a whip stitch, but there are a lot of ways to do it!
• and youre done! it really is simple!

IDEAS

• your favorite band(s)
• flags
• an in-joke
• a reference to your favorite movie/book/tv show
• something political (punk is a very leftist subculture, if you are right-wing maybe find some other music :/)
• anything else you like!
