"Sherlock" FIRST IMPRESSIONS

I watched the first episode of Sherlock last night! 2/3 for Superwholock guys....

Overall score: 3/5★

The characterization and acting is AMAZING! I lov Martin Freeman, and until now had no opinions about Benedict Cumberbatch, and they were GREAT! Holmes is appropriately sassy, Watson is so Watson coded!

The modern-ness fits well with the story (i.e. pipe replaced with nicotine patches), but I feel like they could have had more nods to the original! He never once plays the violin (though it is mentioned). These are the kind of things which will likely be expanded in later episodes though, so I am optimistic!

OK... what I didnt like: The biggest thing about murder mysteries is that the audience ought to have all the evidence to figure it out before the detective. In the show, Holmes reveals things as he is figuring it out. We should already know this. Also. Obvious queerbait. I thought people were exaggerating... its bad.

Overall, I liked it! I'll update after I watch some more!
