hurricane. (TRIGGER WARNING for pictures of death of an animal, snakes, animal remains)

Sooo the hurricane hit me lol. The power went out almost immediately last Thursday and we've been living pretty hard until like 2 hours ago, when the power and water came back on. 

We've been living off of food that we had to cook outside with sticks and logs I gathered by hand and later sawed to size.

The inside of the house was stinking from everybody's unwashed, muddy funk and hot and moist from the lack of ventilation too.

Last Friday morning, me and my younger brother were outside cleaning up debris and burning trash when we noticed the squash plants had been unrooted. My brother goes to pick it up when he SHOOTS back up and yells "SNAKE"

so I run to see what kind of snake it is before I sent my dog outside to kill it... IT WAS A FUCKING COPPERHEAD. I make quick work of that mf 

first i held it with a shovel then cut its head off with a machete

now, my mom is tellin me to throw it into the fire pit but nah, i had a better idea

made that mf into a bookmark ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )

anyways, now that it's skinned and dried, i've been teasing my mom with it since she thinks its icky or whatever (๑>؂•̀๑)

Ion wanna hear no ish in the comments later on talking about "letting it be" cuz it was aggressive and i have a curious dog and an outside cat that likes to wander. I'm NOT letting a venomous snake wander around my property to make anybody else happy. AND NO ITS NOT ILLEGAL, i did it in my yard.

now that the power is back on, imma take a HELLA long shower because i smell like four days of mud, sweat and fire smoke
