Injury

I think my cat has either sprained or broken his leg

It hurts me deeply seeing him like this

He can still limp and move his paws however his leg is clearly swollen and bent at a strange angle.

Earlier i sat on the floor with him and let him lay in my lap, where he was doing the strange neading motion that many cats do when comfortable, i was watching his poor little broken leg shake and quiver as he moved it, but this is positive. He is able to move it. Its progress.

Im proud of him for trying his hardest however im aware of how well cats can hide pain.

Im wondering if i should give him some pain relief, but that may cause more harm than good as im no professional

I really dont know what to do as i cant afford to take him to the vets and my mum will throw a hissy fit if she sees hes injured.

I dont like my mum at all.

I have a strange feeling shes one of the causes of this.

Do cats legs heal on their own? Does anybody know steps i can take to reduce his pain at home?

He's such a sweet soul and deserves to be pain free and its upsetting that i cant provide instant relief.

I am no expert too,but i know for sure that bones won't heal nicely if the fracture is not treated. The leg of this little lad can heal by itself, but the bone has a huge chance of not mending in a proper way — if it's actually broken, though a strange bending angle clearly shows the possibility of fracture — and cause even more issues with movement than it does now.I understand that the vet treatment is unaffordable, but it might be necessary.
I'll leave the painkiller advices for someone else to tell as to not recommend anything bad,but i hope that you and your furball will be alright. ♡

If things get tough, you might aswell try to ask people for help here or in any other social media and post a link to the app where they can transfer money to you (like GoFundMe or maybe PayPal for example).I can't promise you an immediate success and million dollars, but it's worth a shot.
