Thinking about True Crime as a genre.

As romanticized as it is I think true crime is a necessary genre. I think we should have a palatable way for people to learn what to do and not to do in scenarios in scenarios that they could die in, and I think there should be as much pressure on the police as possible to actually do what they're hired to do. I know those aren't the primary purposes of true crime, but as someone who grew up watching Forensic Files, I do think it was very educational. IDK this may be a nothingburger post but I do think that the villainization of true crime is a bad thing.
