Labour

You say you defend the women's right,
That their fate doesn't let you sleep at night.

Yet at the same time you seem to forget,
That agreeing to this, you're sending a threat.

How many young children will cry at night,
just for you to say, “It's all alright.”?

They're doing the labour, you picked up too,
But life was just easier for me and you.

You had a choice, and they did not.

You chose this life, and they cannot.

While you defend it, they want to scream.

While you're here sitting, they only can dream.

And so I wish that things could change,
Except I won't just sit to watch this stage,
Where kids are fighting for their life,
Just for you to say, “It's all alright.”
