Thinking about my art

Recently, I've been thinking about whether or not I should portray more of my culture in my own art. Like, outside of this Neil character I play as, I'm just some Hispanic, Native kid. I want to be one of those artists who get the label of "native artist." I just don't normally draw anything involving much of my culture even though I think about it a lot. Well, I'm currently working on something with a native kid (from my own tribe bc it's like that) and they're fighting aliens. It's stupid, but I think it could be cool or something. Plus, I've made a cool doodle against generalizing and appropriating native cultures bc we're obviously not all the same. Idk I'll see how I feel about all this.
