These are notes I saved for a story idea I have in mind. The story will start out going over human evolution to help go along with a mythology on creation. Now this story will be my own twist on the the mythology & not meant to be taken literal. However, adding human evolution to the mix I believe will make the story a bit more rich with scientific discoveries. So here are the notes I have so far. Feel free to add in the comments anything extra you believe my notes should include based of the topic:
The evolutionary path of humans includes several species and some key milestones:
Australopithecus: Lived 3.8–2.9 million years ago, with long arms, curved fingers, and shorter legs than modern humans
Homo habilis: Lived 2–1.5 million years ago, with larger brains and reduced browridges
Homo heidelbergensis: Lived 600,000–200,000 years ago, building shelters and using spears for hunting
Archaic Homo sapiens: Evolved 400,000–250,000 years ago, and was the forerunner of anatomically modern humans
Homo sapiens: Evolved 300,000 years ago and is the current human species
Neanderthals: Existed 200,000–35,000 years ago.
Denisovans: Existed 400,000–40,000 years ago
Some key milestones in human evolution include:
Bipedalism: The ability to walk on two legs, which evolved over 4 million years ago
Tool use: The ability to make and use tools, which developed more recently than bipedalism
Language: The capacity for language, which developed more recently than bipedalism and tool use
Symbolic expression: The development of complex symbolic expression, art, and cultural diversity, which mainly emerged within the past 100,000 years
Agriculture: The beginnings of agriculture, which occurred within the past 12,000 years
Genetic studies indicate that humans are still evolving today.

So was talking to an online friend I made on another platform on this subject & more worth adding to these notes:
"So they are saying that Homo sapiens when migrated interbreed with Neanderthals & Denisovans. What I have heard so far looking into this. PBS did a special about it a few years ago or so. I want to say before the pandemic but can't fully remember if before or after the pandemic. 🤔"
He responded back telling me that has been known in the field of anthropology and human genetics for some years now & explained more on that.
Feel free to add to the discussion if you believe will help on this topic. Thanks 😊
