Welcome to my Story Of Nirvana blog! I tried my best on this blog as well as always. I recommend you to bring some tissue & warm tea with yourself while you reading this it may helps to process this whole thing and story of nirvana! Enjoy as much as I did writing this there's no any reason to be sad, be happy and smile, but I understand if some parts going to be too much for y'all!

Nirvana /nɚˈvɑːnə/ is the most iconic, unique rock band in the industry. Formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987.

Founded by lead singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. Nirvana went through countless drummers

before Dave Grohl joined to the band in 1990.

How did they get so popular? Kurt has a unique voice and guitar sound most of us say to Nirvana that its a grunge band but you're wrong! Kurt said himself that Nirvana inspired by Black Sabbath, Black Flag, Ramones, Sex Pistols and other punk rock bands!!! They were playing the most awful trashy song in the town you've ever heard! The messages of their song is to be yourself Kurt said once "...we have a mission I guess.". But there's songs that are about drugs, sex, depression and full of suicidal thoughts! Kurt's song/lyrics writing made them so popular, he always wanted to be famous musician. Kurt: "We love punk rock than any other style of music so..."

They played indie rock music as well, but in the early days as we can hear on their debut album the songs are definitely inspired by punk rock!!

They wanted to be free, feel free and do anything that they want on stage! And they did! Nirvana was/is influenced/influence a lot of teenager back then and nowadays!!

Bleach (1989)

The nirvana's debut album called Bleach. Nirvana recorded this album in one day for only $600 and sold 35,000 copies in a few days! Not to mention that college radios played their song non-stop back then in 1989! Months later Bleach sold 1,000,000 copies in the U.S. alone! Not many people could say that this band is going to be huge and successfull one day. By 1989 Nirvana went through 5 drummers since 1987. Dave Grohl was the 6th and final drummer for Nirvana.

Dave used big drums and added a whole new dynamic to the band! Everyone says the he's one of the greatest drummer in the world, but Dave doesn't agree wtih it.

Dave said: "Dude stop sayin'that I'm a good drummer, because I'm the most basic drummer! If you listen to nevermind, I've pulled so much stuff from the gap band and cameo and Tony Thompson on every one of those songs! It's old disco! That's all it is! Nobody makes the connection."

As we can see his white tee probably Michael Jackson or the Jackson five inspired him as well!

And now here comes the biggest hit on the album Bleach!

Mid '91

Nirvana recorded Nevermind in mid 1991 their Major label it was to obvious that it's going to be a wolrd wide success. The producer was Butch Vig. Nirvana chose that they'll work with Butch because they already worked with him before on Bleach (1989). The songs are loud, fast, angry some of them a bit trashy sound but that's the perfect teenage anthem! Basically Nirvana before Nevermind was Unknown! We can say that this album is the most important album in the life of the band, this major album made them world wide famous and popular among teenagers and later adults!!! Nevermind was sold 1,000,000 copies in 5 months, a year later 2,000,000 copies and a decade later 10,000,000 copies world wide! I should mention here another band that was just as popular and famous as Nirvana. Pearl Jam. Nirvana and Pearl Jam had a few gig together.

Pearl Jam was similar to Nirvana they played a few song like Nirvana. A lot of people thought the Nervmind is a new musical movement! They named this new musical movement that

Nirvana started with their major album Grunge. But there was several bands in the 80s that already played grunge and they were grunge band, but Nirvana made famous this genre.

Let's play the two biggest hit on the album by now it has over a billion stream WOW!

Grunge

Grunge is 100% different from punk music it's more loud, agressive and trashy sound Grunge is from Seattle, Washington the home of Nirvana. BUT you can find out that this genre comes from punk and related to punk and other music genres! 

Late 1993

By '93 Kurt was addicted to drugs and he fought with depression. He had a wedding in '92 he married the female singer Courtney Love in Hawaii and in the same year their baby girl was born, Frances Bean Cobain Kurt & Courtney's daughter. Nirvana didn't stop writing the songs Kurt wanted to go more deep and more depressed there was a lot of bullshit going on in his life and itself in the band's life. Dave and Krist was there for Kurt as friend and tried to help him as much as they could but Kurt wasn't that acceptable he didn't want to accept the help. He've overdosed on Heroin and he almost died. He was in coma at the hospital thank god he survived this accident THIS TIME! Kurt on their second major album In Utero (1993) dedicated a song to his daughter called All Apologies. He couldn't deal with his issues/addiction/problems as we can see. Kurt have overdosed on pills and champagne he was in coma (AGAIN) the transported him to the hospital real quick. His wife Courntey was with him and she said it was an accident. But others said Kurt tried to kill himself so it was a suicidal tendency!!!! His mental illnes started grow better!!!! They sent him to rehab but he got escaped to Seattle to play a show. From now they asked the police help in the interest of Kurt.

The End

April 1st, 1994 It was Kurt's last gig! He escaped from the clinic, on april 4th the police wrote the report about him as missing person the following day April 5th 1994 they found Kurt above the garage. He shot himself in the head. They found him on April 8th 1994. He was only 27 years old!!!! He recorded a message to his fans and wrote a suicidal letter plus a letter to his family and daughter! He listened to the R.E.M. Automatic for the People (1992) The death of Kurt schoked the fans the industry as well! According to his neighbours and friends he tried to kill himself 6 times during his career!! According to his friends and doctors he had a long time mental illness and it was too obvious that the end is near! Kurt was so artistic and basically his art became his pain.

Unreleased

There was an unreleased song that Nirvana recorded before the tragedy, in January 1994.

Closing

So as you can see this is not a happy story but we can learn from it. Don't be afraid to ask help it's never too late and you're not alone! I'm saying this because I know we all fight with something and me too! I fight wit depression and anxeity so my days are hard I have a lot of shit that I'm fighting with. I wouldn't say I'm mentally ill but I am...?!! Thanks for my wonderful friend who was with me in the very hard times helped me a lot! And she's not even a therapist just a friend who gave me her arm to help me. But she's 1000000 times better than a therapist. It's like finding an angel in the hell for me. I'm so glad that she's my friend and I met her! She saved my ass several times and showed me that there's other options not just to kill yourself immediately! So Thank you! XO

Well, that's my letter for y'all who read my blog and reading my blogs. Big thanks to all of you Idc you're my friend or not you read it and I'm grateful for it! For those who couldn't I'm sorry! Yes this is not a topic that we talk about I mean suicide and self-harm! It's a very sensitive topic, but what I can recommend is to find a friend like me and time to time open up it's not a weakness trust me it's going to be better at first I know it's hard to trust but it's worth it!
