A long list of red flags to avoid in a partner

I made this list to protect myself and others because I always end up finding the worst people ever. (This list was made with guys in mind but most if not all also apply to women) Hope this is useful to you guys! Feel free to disagree with this list or comment on other red flags you're aware of:

1. Racist, Homophobic, etc.

2. (Hear me out) People with crappy fashion sense. For example, sweatshirt with sweatpants, going out in your PJs, or wearing a super basic fit. (It shows you can't take care of yourself or just prefer not to. Obviously, if you're broke this doesn't apply)

3. Saying I love you too early

4. Not respecting your boundaries

5. Easily jealous or aggressive behavior (There's cute jealousy and then there's straight-up dangerous jealously, don't be the second one)

6. Saying their ex was crazy (They usually aren't)

7. Getting mad at you for trying to keep yourself safe. (Ex: Not going to his house on the first date, taking your drink with you to the bathroom, etc.)

8. Always throws things, punches walls, or breaks stuff. (Can't control his emotions, will eventually try to hurt you.)

9. Abuses animals or is obsessed with roadkill (Serial killer vibes)

10. Wants you to go to their house on the first date (Chances are they want to do the devil's tango on the first date. Only go if you know the person well)

11. Makes lots of sexual remarks, jokes, or comments on your appearance early on in a talking stage. (I have sexual humor but too many comments can reveal only sexual intentions instead of romantic ones.)

12. Complete lack of manners. Most people at least know the basics.

13. Doesn't dress appropriately for dates. If they can't even put an effort into their appearance what makes you think they're gonna put effort into other things?

14. Being too touchy on a first date. 

15. Comparing you to other people. 

16. Does literally nothing besides talking to you. (I mean like no hobbies, no friends, no social life)

17. Pressures you to do the devils tango or send freaky photos (Yuck)

18. Constantly accuses you of things with no evidence. (Projection)

19. Controlling behavior

20. Corn addict

21. "Traditional" Values

22. Gets mad when you ask for a favor

23. Can't apologize/always thinks they're right

24. Thinks you're their therapist or responsible for their insecurities

25. Dishonesty

26. Unmotivated

27. Can't keep promises

28 Doesn't hold their friends accountable (Ex: Letting their friend cheat on their partner)

29. Wants you to mother them (err..father them if you're a guy?)

30. Genuinely screams at you over a game (Playfully is fine)

31. Is afraid of loving their partner or thinks loving his partner is gay

32. Talks about their ex a lot

33. Hates on therapy or denies the existence of mental illness

34. (Depends on your boundaries) Having talking stages with multiple people. (To me that feels mad disrespectful. Even if y'all aren't a couple yet.)

35. Negging (Backhanded compliments or acting indifferent to seduce someone)

36. Any guy that uses the term Foid to refer to a woman (Incel terminology)

37. Substance abuse

38. Manipulative

39. Flirting with others

40. Hides things from you

41. History of violence

42. Little to no friends

43. Treats women like crap

44. Dislikes his family without good reason

45. Constant need of validation

46. Avoidant attachment 

47. Obviously any history of cheating

48. Self-deprecating or pessimistic behavior

49. Confrontational

50. Is a negative influence on your life

51. Sexualizes your race/ethnicity

52. Doesn't want to date his own race due to self-racism (Ex: A black guy saying he doesn't want to date black women because he thinks they're "ghetto"

53. People who say they want to go on a break with no intentions to actually fix the relationship

54. Calls you out your name (Calling you the B-word for example)

55. Says they want someone "obedient" (Get a dog if u want obedience wtf)

56. Acts disrespectful to/talks back to your parents
