Is online College Good?

I'm 22 years old and I've dreamed of being a teacher for as long as I could. My problem is that I'm worried I'm not the right fit for most face-to-face colleges, plus, I'm living out of state and I'm not sure when I'll be back home.

I graduated as a super senior (I was in high school for an extra year because I was failing.) and my GPA I don't think is the most glorious thing. I don't think it's low, but I would say it is average. A class I NEVER failed in high school was math, I have a passion for it honestly. I know it's not most peoples strongest subject, and it's the subject I would love to teach.

Secondary education is where I want to be (middle/high school). I've looked at all of my requirements and what I need, and I feel like online learning is best for my situation. Not only because of how I live, but also because it seems like a lot of online schools don't have as high as requirements as most schools do. I fear my degree won't be considered "real" though if it is from an online college, or maybe online college is a scam? I worry too much honestly.
