people will judge- all the damn time. she will take you offensive, some will think you're too weird and some will just say "oh ok" and move on. Its so damn hard to find friends these days! Our interests don't have to match 100%, im not a copy of you. I respect you, and you respect me, how hard can that be?

I wouldn't say it's impossible, just that it turns you into an aquired taste. You'll attract the right crowd eventually
its also very hard to not change yourself because of other people- but im slowly accepting myself (music, books and movies are my only personality trait)
