Murder(Allegedly)

So, I live in a sleepy town - nothing much ever happens here- but once in a while stuff does.

I was out taking my dog to the restroom yesterday night, when I heard a loud boom- my dog snapped to attention and I looked that way as well. At the time, I had just made by dog use the restroom and we headed inside as soon as possible. But, it turns out, I had just heard someone die.

The next day (today ig) when I had gotten home from school, my mom began to tell me all about it. It turns out that that loud boom we heard was a woman, who's nickname was 'Chatty Cathy', had been shot 3-4 times by her boyfriend - who then walked right down the street and turned himself into the police. Now, I live just down the road from where this women was shot - which is lowkey kinda freaky ngl. But that's not the weird thing - people r murdered every day yk? The weird thing is that when I watched the court proceeding, he pleaded 'not guilty'?? Like bro what you witerally turned yourself in? Plus, he had just been in court this year in may for a domestic dispute.

But, idk, it just didn't sit right with me, I'll probably be watching the news n stuff to see wth happens.
