So, for those of you who don't know, I bought a digital camera to bring with me instead of my phone to lower screen time and still be able to take pictures and capture memories.
It's been super fun! Today I went to the mall and took some fun pics. I bought a new plushie (pompompurin, of course) and took some fun pics there.
They're a little crusty looking cause obviously the resolution could be better, but I think it gives it some charm. It's kinda got that 2000s look which makes me super nostalgic. I used to use digital cameras a lot as a kid before I got a smartphone, so it's giving me some power back, I feel like.
I'm super loving this and will definitely keep doing it for as long as I can, it's my new favorite thing to do!

Yeah, it's really neat! Didn't bring it today since it's been pouring raining everywhere, but I really do enjoy it a lot.
I thought it would be kind of a waste of money since my phone has a way better camera, but y'know, maybe it's not always about the quality but more about the whole image (pun intended lol)
Like, it doesn't need to be picture perfect, it's all about what the image invokes rather than the way it looks and, even if it was taken with a low quality $35 camera, it really does exactly what I want it to; capture memories.

oh for sure! it can be nice to have really clear quality but something is nice about pictures with lesser quality! and it's a really nice way to keep memories i feel because all that it is is a camera, there isn't any distractions and it can be like before phones were a big thing, and you're able to print pictures off from the camera!

Yeah, exactly! Man, I really hope I one day can become less dependent on my phone lol.
Was taking the bus in an area I'm not familiar with and REALLY tried to hardcore look around for my stop instead of checking Maps or something.
I ended up a little lost, but it felt so empowering being able to do something without the use of modern tech. I'm really trying to challenge my brain and get back to my 2010s level of brain power lol, it was really neat

I so get that! I'm pretty dependant on my phone so I've been tryna focus on stuff that doesn't revolve around it! like fun little hobbies. and omg I would be kind of terrified going somewhere and not knowing where exactly I am at, but hey congratulations!!

Yeah, it was definitely a bit scary. I'm not really super known around these areas, so I think that made it extra scary though. As long as you're careful and take good care of yourself, it can be pretty fun to just go explore.
Again, just obviously take care of yourself if you do decide to do it, y'know?
And do bring your phone if you go far away lol, or even just a little away. Better to be safe than sorry, one way or another.

definitely. I live in a rural area but around my school is pretty populated and lots of houses so I'd be safe, unless I wanted to venture real far out so I would for sure be taking my phone!
