Adidas pants (and my newest craft endeavor)

I bought some Adidas pants online a while ago, a few different colors, and they arrived and they're all far too long for my legs. This means I finally had an excuse to learn to sew so I could hem them, so I've practiced on scrap fabric only to find I really have no idea what I'm doing. I'd like to blame the sewing machine (hey, it's 10 years old!) but I truly think it's the operator. Off to YouTube... I'm determined!!
