If I was going to do a Fictive
Drinking Game: Shot for each: (Zelda), (Link) **Hardmode** (All The Lands) *XP* (Wake)
It would probably be Talon from Legend of Zelda, I have this Headcanon that he's secretly links Master/Uncle/Father from the SNES Game and like, so He's also Zelda and Mulans Father, and (Link Himself?) And as he grew older and complacent and as his strength began to fade, his control over the master seal which had held Ganon prisoner weakened and, using this opportunity, Ganon Sapped away Talon's Strength, destroyed the master sword and fled. With the last of his breath he taught his daughter a song, the song that would unlock the powers of their bloodline, and as she wept and her powers awakened, the creators of all the lands wept with her and the song of their people echoed out across all the lands for everyone to hear. Those most attuned with the magic of the land were the Fairy Folk, the Kokiri. Of Which one particularly complacent boy would gain a new companion, and a new lease on life. Taking Pity On Talon, the creators salvaged his consciousness and bestowed it upon a sapling. Talon soon found that he could see again, and not only that, but fly! But as he flew his vision would fade time and time again and he would again begin where he had began. Eventually Talon would improve his mastery over self to the point where he had an out of body experience, a dream of a boy, and of his daughter in danger, in the hands of his slayer riding into the darkness on Talon's own steed, corrupted by the evil and seething with violence. What had become of the farm?
An Addled Talon wakes from his stupor inside the castle garden, another 'gift' of the creators. Two guards quickly find him, feeble, unintelligibly drunkenly deprived of all that is vital to sustain life, they quickly escort the man outside the garden to the relative safety of the castle walls and there Talon remains to this day, undying, hardly able to utter a word when he wakes from his 'sleep' He's been offered work and new clothes by those that took an interest in him but, not understanding what to do about his diseased state of mind, the people just took care of him out of pity and kindness. And for this once again the creators of all the lands wept Talon's song across all the lands and the creatures of the lands most attuned to magic were blessed with the heavenly power which the creators of all the lands had wept down upon them and as it rained down across all the lands the woods surged with power like *wvssssshhhh* And the Fairy Talon found himself in an odd room, with an odd boy, in oddly Familiar clothes. As he looked around he would notice, he was the room. This was his sapling and he could fly as far as he wanted. All Around him were other fairies like him, and friendly people in the same familiar garb but every day at the same time, his vision would fade and he would return to that same room, with the sleeping boy from his dreams. Why wouldn't he wake up? Why did the other Friendly people never go to visit him?
She waits. Every day she waits for my boy, and he doesn't wake up. It's not just her. They never break from their routine. They hardly move.
The leaves don't grow.
