"Riiiight there."
The doctor moved the needles around within their small opening carved into the patient's cranium. One needle being the camera to view the insides of Wendy's skull while the other was the real needle for the procedure.
Wendy had come into the hospital for frequent headaches, and after several tests and scans that all came out blank the doctor decided to try a risky procedure to look within her skull at the brain tissue for any abnormalities that may be causing her troubles. A procedure that normally would have had to have her buzz all of her hair off so they could cut around her entire skull, however due to new technological advancements the doctor was able to complete the surgery with only a small hole being drilled. Meaning that he could save her locks of beautiful ebony hair.
The doctor was so confident in his skills for performing this surgery that he also insisted he do it alone. Before now that would have been unheard of. But he was the only doctor who could perform the procedure, so he refused to put Wendy on the operating table until all the nurses agreed to allow him to be alone with her. Now all of those same nurses and other doctors sat in the observatory watching his handiwork in awe. But at the same time they exchanged concerned glances to each other with movement of the doctor's hands.

After the procedure was finished all of the nurses and doctors from the hospital gathered together in a conference room to look over the pictures the doctor had taken. They clearly showed a dark grey mass growing on the upper left side of Wendy's brain. The nurses all looked at each other and then the doctor to deliver the news.
But the doctor simply shook his head.
"No these photos simply aren't concrete enough for me to continue, I'll need to redo this procedure over again with Wendy."
The air hung still around the rest of the staff. Some seemed to shake their heads while the others held their breaths. One nurse spoke up after a moment.
"We can't do this again. It would be too stressful on Wendy's brain and your hands. Not to mention a waste of money and equipment."
The doctor's brow quirked briefly but he remained calm and collected. "Then I will have to remove the tumor in parts. Even if that means keeping Wendy here with me for longer."
The nurses exchanged looks again. A different nurse piping up.
"Doctor you can't, Wendy deserves top quality care."
The doctor finally snapped. He lost it completely at those words. His eyes bulged open and he glared daggers into the nurse's soul.
"I know what Wendy deserves! I'll show you what she needs!"
He threw over the desk holding the monitor that displayed the photos. The screen crashed and shattered on the ground between the staff and the doctor. It sparked as it fell creating an electrical fire that trapped the rest of the staff. The doctor ran out of the room while they wailed for help.

Wendy was just starting to wake up after her procedure. She still felt so groggy from all of the anesthetics they pumped into her, she could barely keep her eyes open. She heard something that sounded like music coming from the other side of the hospital. Though it wasn't her favorite type, she thought that kind of music always just sounded more like people screaming. But it was just so far away to her heavy head that she couldn't complain really.
That's when her doctor came into her room. She didn't notice how quickly he came and just thought she was still thinking in slow motion. He smiled professionally at her as he approached her bed. The open door brought in the smell of a fresh barbeque that made Wendy happy.
"Miss Wendy. I'm sorry to disturb your rest but it seems your room is being moved suddenly. We're a bit short on nurses right now so please, allow me to assist you to your new room."
Wendy slurred out a thanks and reached to hold onto him. The doctor picked Wendy up with ease and carried her away from her hospital bed.
They arrived in a long and round glass corridor that over looked a beautiful garden down below. The top glass was stained purple, basking them both in purple sunlight. Wendy thought it was the most beautiful place she'd ever seen.
She looked up at the doctor and then at the entrance they had arrived from. She saw a wall of flame bathed indigo approaching them. She whipped her gaze back to the doctor and held her close to him.
"Now we can be together eternally my love." He whispered into her ear.
And they were both consumed by flame.
The end.
