closed casket

i just finished closed casket by sophie hannah featuring agatha christies hercule poirot and my god that was a good book, i couldn't find the monogram murders so i couldn't read this in order but i am loving the catchpool and poirot dynamic, poirot doesn't exactly seem like himself but considering its from catchpools perspective its still really interesting and the general plot was baffling i suspected randall kimpton to be the murderer the minute it was revealed that joseph indeed died from poisoning rather than being beat over the head but to have the ending be kimpton and claudia hand in hand to his own deathbed was kind of insane, i gasped along with everyone in the book when he took that spare and GODDAMMIT they did randall so dirty i feel like he deserves better
