Hey guys, i got back from watching Transformers One, when this movie was teased it was going to be animated, i was kinda excited about it like we didn't have a new animated Transformers film in 4 decades while we're stuck with the ambitious Michael Bay films that are extremely controversial and out of it's element, at least we have the 2018 Bumblebee film cuz... it is an outstanding and fun standalone movie! i'm still indifferent with Rise of the Beast, not great but i does capture it's material at least, but still crashed and burned lower than Bayverse and it still felt a little off.
And now with Transformers One, what are my thoughts about it? Well... i gotta say... THAT THIS MOVIE IS FUCKING SUPERB LIKE TOP TIER BEST TRANSFORMERS FILM OF ALL TIME!!! I am not kidding for those reasons, Transformers One is a Fantastic, Fast-Paced, Action Packed animated movie and prequel of all time, while the plot follows Optimus Prime and Megatron's origin story how they first became friends and later on became mortal enemies, and how the Autobots and Decepticons first formed during the climax, and... yeah, it does makes a lot of sense how we get to know them for us Transformers fans and new comers who haven't known about this franchise yet and also help follow the origin of Cybertron's history. :3
The first act while has a fun n' cheesy setting by the beginning, well between the conflict of Optimus Prime and Megatron brought to the forefront so far, well... they kinda started as miners trying to find worth and identity to show them for what they are in Cybertron, the second act where they bring in Bumblebee and Arcee go off trying to find the Matrix somewhere on the surface, but they also find the last living Prime (before Optimus) and this is where the act get's a bit intense as we dive deep, AND this also effects Megatron big time leading to the dark path especially the Decepticons of course, the third act is obviously my favorite part of the Movie where Megatron finds his Vengeance and trying to terrorize Cybertron, yeah... you can tell he scares us too much! and Optimus stops him giving them a final act in a fight scene, and it's obviously the best Optimus Prime vs. Megatron Battle i've ever seen, and this is how the fight scene handled where the Bayverse films lacked, this gladly makes up for that, not only that but it also effects them and how the origins keeps building up their beginning of the rivalries between each other, and... that worked! I can't say enough but it's obviously the best scene and climax i've ever watched and i loved it!!! Alright... now let's talk about the characters...
Orion (Optimus Prime) has a humble signature edge for what he can show them what he's capable of more than just a low-tier bot, aaaand dragging D-16 in to this of course, he also shows his maturity later in the story for what he's worthy of being a chosen one finding the Matrix of Leadership, and boom! Optimus Prime has landed, he's has a sense of nobility, his optimism hope, and many more he fits as the leader, that's him alright! D-16 (Megatron) is mostly hotheaded and a bit carried off in his arc by his obsession for revenge causing him to turn to the dark side later in the story. yeah... it got the best in him leading to the Decepticons, we also get to see Elita One and Bumblebee as well and they're pretty likable too! yeah... B-127 (Bumblebee) can be annoying and a comic-relief in this film at times but he does show his personality, Elita One is a disciplined who is a least tolerant to the nonsense she encounters, well with Orion but she has a softer side and hopes for him throughout the journey, and she's also humble. What about everyone else? yeah, they feel in-character enough, i can't say enough cuz i'm tired as fuck so... let's end this one here.
So uh... Same with the 2018 Bumblebee film, this is so much better than the Michael Bay films, although it is the Prequel to the event of… well either the Original '84 show, War for Cybertron, you tell me, if one of you haven't seen this movie, go give it a watch, trust me… it's faithful to it's own source material, i love it and you should too, especially for the 40th Anniversary of Transformers, what a great celebration for the film during the year of this franchise! :3
That's all...! hope y'all have a good night and Happy Madness Day too! :D
