3 Steps That’ll Transform Your life

I was watching a presentation the other day that Dr. Jamie McManus delivered about how the top causes of death are preventable. Now that’s just crazy, I thought, but after I heard her out I realized the top cause of death is due to health issues as listed below:

  1. Cancer
  2. Heart Disease
  3. Stroke
  4. Diabetes

72 Million Americans have hypertension (High Blood Pressure). 134 Million are overweight or obese and 20 million have diabetes. 700,000 Americans die each year of heart disease and 95% of type 2 diabetes is preventable.


Just remember my fellow readers, you are what you eat! A healthy diet includes 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables. I’ll explain more in the articles to come, but for now, I’m ready to share with you 3 steps that will transform your life.


Step 1: Take it easy on fast food. Most of these places are high in calories, salt, sugar, and preservatives which increases the risk for type 2 diabetes.


Step 2: Slow it down with junk food! I’m not saying to give it all up, just limit your intake with foods like cookies, candy, and potato chips.


Step 3: Reduce soda intake. Drinking one soda per day can lead to a weight gain of 15 pounds per year! Soda is also high in phosphorus, which can lead to the demineralization of bones and teeth. And please be advised that diet sodas still contributes to craving sweetsAndres Rodriguez
