self expression and skinny jeans

the notion(?) of "if you wear baggy jeans ur a poser" / "ur emo? where r ur skinny jeans?" / stuff like that IRKS me because. 

guys.

the point of being alternative, living this alternative lifestyle, means you're different from others in terms of your self expression. you shouldnt look like every other person (in your subculture or not). what's the point of looking like everyone else? isnt that what we're AGAINST?

obviously the dressing style isnt all a subculture is, we know that. but how come it seems like some of yall are forgetting that?

i dont wear skinny jeans because i hate how they look on me. i dont like the way they feel or look. so obviously im not gonna wear them just to fit in to a subculture thats AGAINSTTTT fitting in. and ik im not the only one.

anyway... do what you fucking like and be comfortable. know what's important and what's not.
