im honestly tired of seeing ppl w the like... "2000s scene" typing quirk. they could be talking abt how smth tragic happened to them and theyll be typing like "z0mg m3h gr4ndm4 juzt d13d... r1p m33m4w y0u w1ll b3 m1zz3d"
it's hard to read and honestly suuuuper annoying.. i mean like yeah be urself or wtv but these special typing quirks just makes everything worse. also it takes so long to type like that?? like having to type that sentence w those typing quirks took me like a minute or two.. so just.. why??? is it bc u wanna seem like.. diff? honestly theyre typing is NOT inclusive ๐ญ๐ญ it's pretty hard to understand, and imagine if someone has some kinda disability that makes it hard for them to read/see?? i remember seeing someone make a bulletin post abt how theyre dyslexic and cant read those kinds of typing quirks. UGH AND I HATE THOSE PPL WHO R LIKE "ur using a typing quirk rn by typing in lowercases ๐คโ๏ธ" LIKE SHUT THE FUCK UP UR FUCKING PISSING ME OFF RN!!!!
off and on topic but i hate when someones profile is like one of those "scene" layouts that has like a black background and then has super bright and flashy colors & effects and stuffs like that it just hurts my eyes especially bc i have an astigmatism. their layouts r basically dnis for ppl who have sensitive eyes ๐ญ๐ญ

Typing quirks sound a little fun, but I'd wanna find one easy for people to read so they don't run into this problem
is using a zombie quirk that doesn't replace the letters with anything ok?/gen
(Ex. Rrggh...the quick brown fox...jumps over the lazy dog...)

there is no point in needing numbers in ur text unless its for abbreviations (which i use myself!) like 2=to, b4=before, l8r=later, every1=everyone etc etc... but typ1n9 l1k3 th15? bffr...
yes idm the abbreviations but like making like a 2 sec sentence into like a 30 sec sentence is honestly doing waaay too much

tbh i think Typ31n9 L1k3 Th12 is annoying for EVERY SINGLE WORD, but for funny instances like "L0L" or "0m9" or "R4wR" its okay, everything is good! but it should probably just be used in moderation. i need 2 remind myself od this aswell sumtimez bcs i forget that not everyone speaks/ types the same way i might, and thats alr! ^_^

1337 is actually quite easy to understand and has been a part of the internet for decades at this point. If it's too hard for someone to understand, then all I have to say about that is get pwned, n00b.
On a related note, do you have a problem with emoticons as well (not the more modern emojis, but their older precursors using symbols and letters on a keyboard)? I figured I'd ask since we're talking about decades old forms of online communication here.
i have no problem w emoticons since i used to use them. it's just that the whole usage of replacing letters w numbers is hard to understand at times

SO REAL!! its not even near to how scene kids typed back then either... shortcuts were used, like most people on the earlier internet but typing quirks are impossible to comprehend sometimes. i can't imagine how hard that must be to read if you have eyesight issues or dyslexia bro (especially with the insane color vomit/flashing layouts); im sure its fun to type out but its extremely inconvenient if your trying to get a serious message. put the typing quirk down if your making a callout abt like a groomer or something. it makes everything so unserious T.T I don't judge if your just writing stuff for yourself or like a blog entry about your day but make it legible if its serious (ใ๏นใ)

My friend uses โzโ instead of โsโ and thatโs totally fine, but the type of typing quirks youโre talking about honestly kinda piss me off. Like ofc, if I hate it so much I just will ask you to stop/ stop talking to you but sometimes they are literally unintelligible.

I have a bit of a typing quirk personally that I only use here (I use abbreviate stuff with numbers) but I think replacing whole letters with them seems tedious and kinda hard 2 read right away
I remember when typing quirks were a hot topic on Tik Tok during the pandemic and the main argument against it was that it was ableist in the sense that ppl with dyslexia had a hard time, or full on couldn't read it
But I don't rlly think I have a say in that
