being alt is a mindset, not a style

i see a lot of peoples saying that being alt is weiring a precise style, goth, emo, punk etc; but its not, when i see peoples (oftenly on tiktok) saying "i am alt i want to dress like this im just scared of getting bullied cause i live with normies ;(" being alt is not being scared to express urself with either makeup, clothes, type of peircing maybe, way of talking something ALTERNATIV and assuming it. so If ur recognise urself here its cause ur not alt, just someone who is scared of not fitting in
