Why r ppl so weird?

Why are people unable to behave normally the moment they see someone dressed even slightly alternative? It's like they see someone not dressed basic asf and take that as an invite to say weird shit and stare at them like some kinda spectacle.

Am I crazy or something?? I've just never understood why someone would care about what another person they don't even know is wearing.
