First, grow out bangs (aka fringes) if you have them. If they're a lot shorter than the rest of your hair, that's fine. Long hair on men is usually not all the same length because it's usually grown out from a shorter cut. Keep it a bit messy. Shampoo as much as you normally do, but don't condition it every time (that's not good for your hair, anyway). If you pull it back, don't pull the ponytail up; leave the ponytail down with the hair tie pulled to the top of your neck. If you have curly hair, while some guys grow it very long, most guys don't grow it past their chin. It's more common for guys with straight hair to grow it to their shoulders or past.
If misgendering hits your dysphoria really badly, you should probably know going in that it's really common for cis men to be gendered incorrectly when people see them from behind. That doesn't necessarily mean you don't pass; it's just more common for men to have short hair so people assume.

Again, thanks for the tips! I was thinking about getting wolfcut, but I think my hair is too long. I am closeted so for now i will probably do low ponytails (they work for me). (≧▽≦)
