why are some of the other christians just so hateful? (this isnt meant to spark anything political)

(tl;dr at the end)imma start this off by letting you know, yes i am a christian myself protestant to be specific and i see so many christians hating on people who are literally just different, what sparked me to write this blog is because i remembered when i was in AV class and one of the football team members said i cant have an opinion on anything due to the way i dress (i was wearing the jacket that i have on in my pfp, sweatpants and demonia platforms) and he had the audacity to say i dont dress like a christian lmfao like what does that even mean? the bible is LITERALLY about being kind and loving each other and thats one of the reasons why im a christian because i love and forgive EVERYONE i was like this before and after i became one, weird christians tell u "you will go to hell for doing *something normal*" and the whole point is so you can be forgived in the end and im not one of the christians that go out of my way to try to convince you to become a christian but i will give you real reasons, but back to the point if someone tells you youre wrong for being who you are or doing what you doing just say "love thy neighbor" that usually shuts ppl up dont just try to bash the entire religion and know that some christians are weird while the other half are just as chill if not more chill than you may be

tl;dr: some kid in my av class said my opinion didnt matter cus of how i dressed and that i dont dress like im a christian, if something along the lines like this happens to you just say "love thy neighbor" and keep being you
