Agh, my brain is all over the place. Someone on here just announced they’re leaving SpaceHey last week. I checked out their profile and went to their past blogs. I found that Miiverse archive that I already knew existed, but I decided to type in the first part of the username I can remember having. And my old account popped up :]
The years the posts were made range from 2015 to 2017. I always got banned because I’d try to share my friend code with other people in the Animal Crossing: New Leaf community lol. Some of my posts have comments left behind by my old online friends. I used to miss them so much! I lost them when my 3DS broke.
So nostalgic. I loved seeing the old pictures I shared. Loved seeing what used to bring me so much joy. I wish you could have posted pictures with friends on Animal Crossing: New Leaf! But you couldn’t because on the 3DS, to get to Miiverse you’d have to go to the menu before you got it. You could post a current screenshot of either your top or bottom screen but you couldn’t use your photo gallery. If that makes sense. I had taken tons of screenshots with my online friends. I wish I had the idea to take my SD card out of my broken 3DS. My mom went and threw it away when she came across it while cleaning my room ;_;
Animal Crossing just has a very special place in my heart, especially New Leaf. I think I already talked about this in a previous post, but… I gained consciousness when I was seven years old meeting people online through Club Tortimer. At one point I reached the maximum amount of friends you can have - 100, and I still hanged out with them. I love it. I don’t remember coming across too many weirdos in New Leaf. Which was cool! I had friends of all ages. I did come across a weirdo when I had to start over with having friends. Using my other 3DS and later my new Galaxy 3DS, I had to start from scratch making online friends.
I did come across one creep. One guy I met through mutual friends (I was eleven) was a fat fetishist 💀 I had roleplayed with my old friends on Animal Crossing two years prior so I thought it’d be fun. He’d try to put me in these specific roleplay scenarios and I’d try to work around them, exerting my own fixations. I don’t know how old he was.
So it was cool. I definitely learned a lot through Animal Crossing. Although my grammar isn’t perfect now, back then I wrote fantastically for a seven-year-old. I’d talk to people with complete sentences and everything. I was miserable at school, but I always had my online friends to turn to.
I used to wonder all the time how my online friends were doing. I’ve accepted it by now. I wonder if there’s some kind of Nintendo 3DS Friend Code retreat where you can reunite with your online friends. Of course, they would have to get on the website, too.
Btw, the loading music for Miiverse is the most frutiger to ever aero. Frutiger aero. Listen to it! I almost wanted a poor connection so I’d have more time to listen to it.
