I'm so disappointed hearing kinda astonishing news. Cai Haoyu, the founder of miHoYo, recently posted his thoughts on LinkedIn. In his post, he says AIGC will take place of the game creators which are located in average to professional. Although I said I stand with miHoYo forever in the previous post, this time I can't agree with his attitude toward AIGC and AI. Even though that's his private account, he shouldn't have said such a disrespectful thing as the founder of the massive game studio and one of a Otaku.

Well, I was very upset last night since I heard the news, therefore, I forgot to add the reason why I oppose AIGC. Before I address my reason, I'll have to say I only object to so-called generative AI. I'm in favor of general AI, like the assistant of the car driving. Frankly speaking, due to the rise of generative AI in many industries, especially in the game and manga or anime, it will kill creator oneself, their creativity and passion to make works that perhaps change the entire world. That’ll be a huge damage. Creativity is our, mankind's, privilege. We do not need “efficient making process” in this area.

Jeez I always forget to write something crucial to reinforce my thought. Generally speaking, the most essential concern of generative AI is its datasets. Some of the articles on the internet reported those might conclude illegal things. Though many major AI company has wiped out those contents from their AI's datasets, the rest of that may still be there. I'm skeptical for that. This can also be one of the problems in the field of game production with generative AI.

My posts written in English are verbose (and may be inaccurate) as a whole. Anyway I hope HoYo and their new affiliated company don't move toward the bad way.

Notes: This is the controversial post Cai posted. Btw I strongly oppose to be used AIGC contents in the creative area.
