Hi, i thought about this for awhile about how he been wasting my entire life online and I just need to speak about this. I feel like we as society really have no need for social media it hasn’t done anything good for us so far and honestly I wish we could try and use it less. I feel awfully lonesome all the time even though I text people everyday, that’s because no amount of texting will ever replace the human interaction with one another. I feel like we are overusing our phones especially with ai and all. I feel like we’re doing such unnecessary things by trying to digitalize ourselves as much as possible it’s like we’re purposely putting ourselves in misery. Now I don’t want to sound like this old guy who’s against everything new i myself am a 16 year old tik tok addict but I can still acknowledge the problem and try to be better

It’s not exactly a need but as someone the same age as you I guess it’s hard to imagine a world without it. Perhaps if social media catered less on algorithms and trends and in general more limited like it was in the “good old days”, perhaps we could learn to use it a lot less but the sad truth is technology in general has become a constant part in our lives and it can’t be avoided. Doesn’t matter how hard we try to pretend to live in the 2000s and whatnot because society will progress regardless
