writing stories is hard

Im writing a story with my friend from school but i had to come up with all the characters and make personalites and backstories for all of them and that took an hour but then we had to actually come up with a title for the story and now were writing and it took me like two hours to type up one paragraph and now my friend is writing the second paragraph

if anyone can give me some tips on how to make story writing easier that would be great because this is taking too long or is that just how story writing is because this is one of the first stories ive created like ever
