It's lost its meaning in relationships. In most friendships, love exists platonically. Everyone should have at least one person they love, and they love back, platonically, for friends. it'd be unfair for someone not to. i think everyone deserves someone who understands them and connects with them spiritually, it'd be cruel to not be given that experience. as for romantically, most people date for fun now. i don't get that. what i also don't get is that when you start dating they expect you to have already lips each other. when i got into my first relationship last year, it was about two weeks in and this guy asked me if we have kissed. i said no, obviously, and he seemed weirded out, "you guys haven't lips??", that confused me. personally, i'd want my first kiss to be special, so i'm glad i didn't kiss my ex as we ended badly. but that makes me think if this is the expectation for relationships. all touchy and stuff. yeah holding hands and hugging is cute but why are people expecting us to act dirty?? like no i don't want you imagining bending me over and giving me backshots. this again is all based on personal preferences, but sometimes people are TOO young. why are 13 year olds sucking dick and having foursomes??? anyway after i broke up with my ex i haven't dated anyone since, i want to get to know the guy before dating but also no one seems ready, including me. and the fact i'm not really looking for a relationship right now, i am in year 9 so i want to focus on my studies and friendships rather than a crushing relationship. i do hope i find love one day tho

True, most teens date for fun and nothing else now.
