Theatre rehearsals

Hey guys (random people on the internet) I really just wanted to blog something so here I am. I would’ve blogged about auditions but that was b4 I knew about this website so 💥💥💥💥 anyway I’ll get started

So I stayed a few hours after school today, I didn’t get a very big role, not even a supporting one, but considering this is one of my first few I’m alright with that. The other people in the play are all very nice and quite sociable, so I got comfortable rather quickly. I only have about two lines in total but I’ll likely be an extra in a few other scenes too. I was born and raised for theatre, quite honestly, my entire family is neurodivergent and we’re always singing or dancing or being really extra, we’re all very lively so i was destined for this.

The theatre teacher ended up having a massive cast of 41 people, so we’re spilt up into 2 teams and on some days only actors in scenes 1-4 would come to rehearsals or 7-11 and so on, but we’ve been having to share scripts until she manages to get more scripts since she hadn’t originally planned for this many people to audition, in fact, there were about 60 others, I’m pretty sure the extra people were put into crew or just didn’t get any part, which is unfortunate, but reasonable. The teacher says this might literally be the biggest cast she has worked with.

Anyway, that’s about it, if anything worthwhile happened next rehearsal I’ll likely blog about it!! This is really just meant for myself but feel free to like ask questions or interact w/ me!! <|:°)
