How to make a cute coffin shelf out of a cardboard box - STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL WITH PHOTOS

It's been a long time since my last blog and honestly it's just because school started again and I can't procrastinate this any longer because looking at my history textbook now is making me want to vomit

This is my first non-fashion tutorial so yayyyy !!!

Difficulty: 1/5

Time to make: around 1 hour (not counting paint & glue drying times)

You will need:

1-2 cardboard boxes

paint of your choice

tape or glue

pencil

scissors

Step 1: Cut the bottom part out of your cardboard box. In this photo the top & bottom panels are side pieces because I wanted mine to be taller

Step 2: Draw your coffin shape. i included some of my measurements here as a reference. I recommend using a ruler to make straight lines since those are very important

Step 3: cut it out. Here is what mine looks like

Step 4: Cut out the side pieces and make sure they're all of the same width. You want these to wrap around the coffin and supply the shelves so It's important to make sure you have enough

Step 5: This step is optional but highly recommended ! Now you can paint your pieces ! This part can take the longest depending on how many layers you need + added drying time

Step 6: Now you take your pieces are have them wrap around your coffin. Don't worry about them not lining up perfectly because mine didn't either and that's okay !

(Ignore the random white spot on mine idk why my camera did that my whole piece is purple)

Step 7: Add the shelves. It's EXTREMELY important to make sure your shelves fit properly. make sure you measure many many times because if you cut too much and it doesn't fit reattaching and measuring again will be very difficult but also more annoying !!

Step 8: Finished !!

Here is what mine looks like, I made it for my monster high dolls :))
