To Rip Your Own Heart Out Of Your Chest - A reccomendation of 1000XRESIST

To bare your soul and allow the world to borrow a fragment of your mind, your guilt, your pain, your regret is what art should be about.

What is only left in the world is you and your own baggage even after several hundred millenia into the future, even after all you love and know is gone. All you are able to do is to reminisce about the change in your behavior, to think about all the times you have been wronged, to think about all the people you have wronged. To think so much about how could you have changed how things played out, to endlessly fantasize about how different your life would have been. But so much time has passed now, all that could be possibly be important no longer matters anymore.

You get to explore what remains of this world as Watcher, reliving the memories of the ALLMOTHER, who you solemnly pledge your loyalty to. You get to experience all the stages of her existence, from her birth to far beyond the extinction of all of humanity. The game is purely a walking simulator where you chat with other npcs while you piece together the story of this entire world, the script and voice acting are meticulously stellar, the dialogues being depicted with this cinematic direction thats inspired by the works of hideaki anno and akiyuki shinbo. I consider it a painful piece of vent art that not only depicts the suffering of the character we serve, but also many of the hardships the makers of this game had to endure that culminate into this story.

There are many other themes that this game incorporates, very deeply, into its narrative, so if you enjoy psychological, religious games, please give it a chance. I dont think that it sold much but i hope that we get to see more games from this developer.
