flying through the night, only for a moment.

darkness.

awakening in a blur.

tears that flow.

blood-stained hands.

a mangled seat.

a stereo's blare.

reality warping.

one moment, one slip.

leaves one in the carnage.

moments ago, a laugh.

now an unconscious figure.

one that lies still in aftermath's strife.

blood on the head.

a soul's goodbye.

a desperate plea.

a futile scream in the empty night.

screams for help, seeking an aid to the plight.

red and blue lights.

a father's advice.

screams echo, a heart in a daze.

"no, no, no," screams, a plea in the night,

a soul departed, lost in flight.

gone.

a truth to reconcile.

in aftermath's shadows.

guilt's weight.

a journey through grief, pain amassed.
