i have been quite into FullMetal Alchemist lately, I was a really big fan of it as a young teenager and the nostalgia it brings from those days is definetely a factor in it but nonetheless it still holds up... However i believe that people should 100% pay attention more to the other versions of the series (manga, the original 2003 anime) apart from the BrotherHood version... I feel like they do a lot of stuff much better..
Also friends, I would like to recomend Revolutionary Girl Utena, it is a bit on the older side and maybe not to everybodys tastes but personally, if you can handle the themes in the series, i thing you should watch it :P Keep in mind it is very heavy at time (i myself had to stop watch at some points x_x)
Maybe that one day i will make a comprehensive post on these... I think it would be cool to point out what i like and not like on the series...

I'll probably check out the Revolutionary Girl Utena once I'm done with Lucky Star :3 I searched it up and I gotta say.. based off of initial looks it seems really promising! I gotta say I love the art style.. it has that 90's and early 2000's anime style that shoujo manga/anime had, like sailor moon and vampire knight and I think that's really pleasant. :3
Yaay ^W^ Utena is a great anime and yess the art direction is awesome!!
however i must say that it has very heavy themes and scenes, i reccomend looking into the content warned before watching just in case ;;^^
